Apartment Review for Gables Marbella - Boca Raton, FL

My husband and I and our 8.y.o son moved here from California about 7 mo.ago. At first we couldn't believe our find, we were so ecstatic to find a brand new community with everything we wanted:pool, great school district, granite counter tops, basketball courts, playground, garage. At first the management was very nice ( as they always are), attending your every need, two months gone by and the place started to fill up more and more. As we started making fantastic new friends in our superb little community, (families just like us with children), who want nothing but the best for them started to tell their horrid stories of what happened in their courtyard!!! The place started to fill up with tons and tons of college students. It had quickly turned into one huge party town, got so trashed with cigarette buds, broken bottles (oh yeah, one day I opened my my sliding door window to find it broken, some teens threw a beer bottle into my window, it's been 3 weeks and NOTHING has been done about it), paper cups, just trash all over the place. These kids, when they signed these leases most likely came here with their moms and dads, who used their established credits to reserve these apartments for their student kids. As soon as they leave they kids are party ANIMALS, they don't care whether you have kids, they speed through this neighborhood, like it's a race track. Our children cannot really play outside, because we are ALL terrified that someone will get run over. We had an incident when one drunk teen drove so fast through the street that he missed a turn and slammed his pick up truck into the kids playground. And when we asked the management to instal some speed bumps ( F.Y.I there are NONE!!!) throughout the community, their answer was" it's too costly!" What does it take for somenone to get killed before they do anything? Teens that live in my courtyard smashed several beer bottles on the ground after one of their parties, lucky i saw the glass before my little one came out with a dog and walked on it. We ALL made numerous complaints, but the problem is the girls at the main office, for the exception of the property manager, are young party girls themselves,when you complain, they look at you like you're dumb, they really don't care!. The manager seems to really not care about what's going on herself, because obviously nothing gets done and many things get ignored. I know they need to fill up the place and I'm positive the sales girls are making commisions, but this place is driving us out of here, and for sure we'll be looking at private homes to rent when lease is up. There are great families that live here, but we all agree on one thing- the partying has to STOP, the trashing of the place has to STOP, the speeding has to STOP!! We all are so disappointed in this place,I know it's only a matter of time before we ALL leave here to go elsewhere, like an actual house, where grownups live. Save yourself a headache, trust me, it only looks good when you come here for a visit, but when you live here, you'll learn it the hard way and eventually want to look for a new place to live as well. Find a rental home if you have kids on a quite street, where they can ride their bikes and play, if you are a mature adult even without kids, still stay away from here, one way or the other you'll get fed up too, jut like we did!!!
